oh my darling penpal project!
melissa over at oh my darling blog is starting a really awesome fun and nostalgic project: dear darling penpal! when i saw that she had posted this i immediatly emailed her and told her to sign me up! i used to have a penpal back in the day and it was soo much fun to get letters in the mail...especially when you are 10 and you don't get mail anyways...now i get nothing but junk mail and bills and the occasional card from the mister's mom...which is always such a fun treat.... like getting fun surprises in the mail too? well i would stop on by oh my darling's blog and sign yourself up...plus it is an excuse for me to use my awesome type writer!

me either!! it is going to be fun!! i can't wait to use my type writer but for the first round i will write since i will have LOTS of time next while traveling!! just fyi...my handwriting is very messy :D

ReplyDeleteI wrote your letter and the other two, then came to write Melissa's and my pen ran out half way through. I was like...aw god it looks really messy and like I don't care! So I drew an owl to try and make up for it. Haha!

ReplyDeleteThe last time I had a penpal was in fourth grade through our school. Lots of "Do you like this?" or "My favorite color is blue, what's yours?!" I love it. It's such a neat way to meet someone new! Now that I think of it... I may have to go over there and sign myself up.
ReplyDeleteBy the way... I've been aching for that exact type writer for months now. I saw one on ebay and would've bought it had I not been broke. There's something magical about writing on a type writer vs. a computer. I always feel more inspired by the obnoxious clicking sounds the keys make. Thus, I am super jealous... but if you see another about, shoot a message my way!
