bike chick tips & an award!

happy wednesday! last week i had mentioned that i was going to start a new little something for the bike chick tip which was outfit posts of what i wear while riding, so here is what i wore to the misters date on saturday!

it was really really nice out and i knew i was in for a hill climbing ride so i wanted to wear something comfortable so i went with my vintage white tank top equipped with some white embroidered flowers, my levi pants which i made into my new favorite cut off shorts and a pair of flat moccasins! wearing comfortable shoes while riding is important as sometimes wearing flip flops can be troublesome if one happens to fly off while pedaling. i always try to wear shoes that have a strap on it just in case there are any problems :D

hair was up with a black flower headband to keep cool, red lipstick and with my san francisco chronicle tortie sunglasses! oh and dont forget suncreen too, don't want to fade those tattoos :)

urusla has a flat so next week i will demonstrate how to fix a flat!! yahoooooooo!!!

and now for an award!

i was given this award by becky over at becky's blog, thanks sweetie!! so happy to receive this, it made me blush!! so in tradition i pass the torch onto these lovely ladies:

melissa from oh, my darling
kaylah at the dainty squid
elycia at <3elycia
rachele at the nearsighted owl
eva at eva.lu

hope you ladies can pass on the love!

I don't know anything about cycling...but do you ever wear a helmet? I'd be a bit scared of thoughtless drivers...

  2. becky: you know i really should wear a helmet but i guess i am a little vain but nothing is more ugly then my brains spattered on the concrete...sorry if that is gross but totally the truth...thanks for caring..i will make more of an effort. on long bike rides i wear helmets but i need to make more of a habit of it.

  3. I love your shorts and your awesome green bike!! And I rarely wear a helmet... I figure if I'm just riding around it's fine, but for longer journeys near/around cars then definitely yes!
