a beautiful day for a tattoo filled with love

hi :) hope everyone had a great weekend! it was fantastic to say the least! the weather was amazing and of course i got my tattoo! saturday morning we hopped on gilbert and rode to the farmers market and then made our way out to tattoo tuesday in the outer sunset of san francisco. we drove the bug and we decided to take the scenic route through golden gate park...while we were driving we both really really missed living in the city...the one thing we truly regret is going to the park e.v.e.r.y. weekend. we would lay out our mexican blanket by the garfield statue (the american president not the cat..hehehe) and just hang out and people watch or throw the baseball around...truly one of the best things about san francisco is golden gate park...so i wanted to show you some of the pictures i snapped while we purred through golden gate park in gladys...(if you have ever rode in an old vw bug purring is  the perfect adjective to describe the sound they make!)

in the window of the tattoo shop they have a seal dressed in a sweater which has become the mascot of the neighborhood...it is just so cute! i never like bringing my camera while tattooing...just something i have never really liked so here are some shots the next day of my tattoo after the dressing came off and was cleaned. we ended up using my original art...sam played with the images as we thought we would combine two of the designs but the first and more simpler one looked best with the rest of my designs.

i am very very happy with them. they are so happy and they are something that represents the mister to me without being so literal..he is born in november and his birth flower is a daisy so this is my rendition of a daisy! we added some more of my flowers on my left shoulder as i really liked how my dogwood is hugging the daisy. too see more of my tattoos here is my last post on my other tattoos

now my mind is turning on what and where to get the next one! oh i can't wait!!!

  5. Cool! Love your daisy-tattoos, they are so unusual! The park looks beautiful, so jealous of your weather, you should see how miserable it was here today... oh well that's England for you, but it's not too bad! :)

  6. the daisies look amazing, and I love the subtle connection to you mister! I agree with Kristin Elena, 'dainty' is a great word! I would love to get some tattoos (or even just one for that matter!) but I am currently to commitment phobic. ;) Also, L.O.V.E. San Fran! Jb and I have been twice, and liked it so much we almost moved! Great pics!

  10. Aw man they go perfectly with the others! And I love the little nod to your husband, within them. I love when tattoos have a secret meaning that only you and a few others know. I may do a post on my secret meanings, I don't know!
Anyway, I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm really jealous of the way your tattoos all lend something to each other. They are gorgeous and really are works of art! x

  11. Your style is so cute, I browsed through about 3 pages of your blog and I love every outfit! And those tattoos are so awesome and I love the meaning behind the daisies! I have one small star on my wrist (my husband has the same one) and I am itching to get another.

also what a pretty park, i know how you feel about missing a place like that. I used to live in a seaside town and every weekend we would go sit in the public gardens with a view of the sea.

  17. Those look sweet! I love tattoos. I'm in the process of getting some bad ones I got in the late 90s lasered off.. and then they will be covered with something new and better.

  18. you are covered in your own beautiful little garden - I love it!

I want my next tattoo to be of a cat dressed up in a tweed suit wearing a caving helmet (you know the ones with lights on them?) haha. My family are quite into caving so it will be a tribute to them even though dad is totally against my tattoos which is a shame.

  19. those have to be the loveliest tattoos i've ever seen. (and that's the best adjective to describe them.) :)

  20. daisy's are actually one of my favorite flowers, I didn't realize they were november's flower. these are so simple and elegant but remind me slightly of 1920s floral designs (only a little). also, I like how they bring attention to your collar bone. congrats!
