happy hump day everyone! today's bike chic outfit was from saturday and our trip to the thrift store. since it was suppose to "snow" this weekend (and it didn't here if you would like to know...very disappointed!) it was mighty cold outside but the sun was out and shining so brightly. we took gilbert out and i find we are taking him out more and more when we are together! we plan on taking him for a workout ride next weekend :D
since it was cold outside it was a pants kind of a day although i was dying to wear shorts and a tank top but i am so lucky i didn't as i would have been a popsicle the moment i stepped outside! i am typically not a fan of pull over sweaters but when i saw this one on etsy it had to be mine! i love the little embroidered seagulls and the scoop neck. the weight of the sweater was perfect for riding in as it didn't make me too hot or let in the cold air.
i got a pair of black oxfords as i wear my brown ones so much and they are so comfortable to ride in that it just made sense to buy another pair. i always love wearing skinny jeans while riding as i never have to worry about my pant legs! really an easy outfit to ride in on a winters day!
xo,

i adore your riding outfit. that sweater is aweeesome. so am i justified in saying that, riding is just THAT much better in a nice little (comfy) outfit? i think so! and who is gilbert? please tell me that's the name of your tandem:D
ReplyDeletemaybe i'll record some riding outfits too..this inspired me.
i don't know how you do it, but you always look chic, cool and cute. i'm jealous!

ReplyDeleteI so appreciate your outfit posts. I'm still figuring out what actually works to bike in when I want to be presentable at my destination. Oxfords are one of my favorite types of shoes! The yellow belt is GREAT!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the sweater! All the yellow looks really good with it too. I want to tandem bike some day. It seems like it would be a ton of fun!
ReplyDeleteYou're the cutest!! I love the first picture so much!
ReplyDeleteoh you wanted snow? I can send you some, I have about a foot or so left in my backyard :)
ReplyDeleteIs that a tandem bike?! I love those! Awesome blog :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to meet another person who names their bike! My boyfriend keeps talking about getting a tandem but sadly we have to wait until we have a larger apartment. We already have 3 bikes and I have my eyes on another for myself. Too many!
ReplyDeletenot the nicest thing I've thought: so I used to know this stylish but as it turns out not nice girl who loved stuff with seagulls on it. We're no longer in contact, but if we were, I'd throw the picture of your awesome seagull sweater in her face. Glad something so cute is in deserving hands. Embroidered sweaters are ssssoooo good.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! :)
ReplyDeletei need to find some more oxford shoes to wear for the spring
