now, i have been contemplating what to get for some time... ever since my last tattoo of my daisy's i wanted to get more, it is that addicting!
right after i got them tattooed, a friend of mine wanted me to draw her another tattoo and i was more then thrilled do to it. here is what i drew her. i feel in love with it and really liked how it came out. it got my mind turning on what i wanted to get next....
i love my little harvey oh so much so i knew i wanted another bird. for a while i had been drawing a quail in the style of day of the dead but just wasn't crazy about how it was coming out so i set that idea aside.
i then started doodling lazy eyed susans which i just love. they remind me of my mom as we loved planting them in my little section of the garden when i was little but for some reason i haven't gone back to them. i really like them but think i need to explore that idea further and that will maybe be the tattoo i get after this one!
after the craft fair on saturday, i sat in front of the computer and searched for images of icelandic poppies and other poppies that are similar. i already have california poppies on my right shoulder and i just love all types of poppies and they make me so happy that i wanted to get more of them. while drawing the mister cuddled up right next to me and really liked the drawing so far which always makes me really happy.
sorry about the quality, taking a picture of pencil is hard |

now just to figure out where this sucker is gonna go! most likely on my left arm but i have to finish it all up and then have the mister draw it on me to make sure i love it.
i have a few other drawings i have done for other ladies and will be sharing those now and then, i think i just needed too take this leap and swho you my work first, i am a bit nervous. i love getting emails from lovely ladies wanting me to sketch them a tattoo! don't be shy! hehe
oh, i just opened up a twitter! come join me and lets tweet ;D

I love your daisy tattoos, because well it's my all time fave flower. The hardest part of getting tattoos is to figure out where you want to put them on your body, but I am sure you wil think of a clever spot for your little christmas gift .
ReplyDeletein canada my birthday is on remembrance day, everyone wears a poppy on november 11th to remember the veterans. SO i also have a soft spot for poppies. <3
ReplyDeletealso, i think you should get a tattoo of my face so i can always be with you. MY FACE.

Ohhh I love your sketches! I adore all your tattoos so I'm sure your next one will be amazing as well. I wish I were brave enough to get a tattoo.

LOVE your tattoos! And your sketches are amazing! I hope you can get your new tattoo soon because I want to see which one you choose :) I love that each of them has so much significance to you- that makes me really special. The other day on the metro I saw a dude with a Tasmanian Devil Riding a Surfboard tattoo... I mean, maybe that is significant to him too, who knows... but anyway, once I am brave enough for a tattoo, I am hiring you girl!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your tattoos, if i wanted you to draw something up for me, would that be possible? happy thursday!
ReplyDeletefabulous ideas! i love how your tattoos look, i've been itching for more ink myself but alas finances are a roadblock -_-
ReplyDeleteYour drawings are awesome! I can't wait to see what you decide on. I love your daisies and you've inspired me to possibly get a tattoo in the same area (after the next tattoo). I just have to decide what I would get there. I love how the daisies look like they're a part of you, not something added to you. Going to go find you on twitter now, not that I really know how to use twitter very well.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You are such a talented artist. I love the style of the outline and boldness of lines. I know exactly what you mean by tattoos being addicting. My name is Rachele and I am a tattoo-addict.
ReplyDeleteI love your tattoos! They are so fun and unique. You inspire me to get my own. :)

ReplyDeletei should have you draw me up some flowers sometime! im always itching to get tattooed, but the summer is a crappy time to get work done. i cant wait to see your new tattoo in the winter.
ReplyDeleteOmg you're such a great tattoo designer! Love the poppies and quail! Getting a tattoo that represents CA is a great idea. Is there any art you can't do?! hehe
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic you design your own. I reeeally want another but I still have no idea what to get! I just want an idea so I can start getting prepared for it!
There's some great comments from people on your guest post :) Thanks again for doing that!
xoxo
Gorgeous! Can't wait to see the real thing! Good luck saving money :) xx
ReplyDeletei did not know that you drew up your tats...could you be any more awesome?!?! I have been thinking of getting a new tat too, possibly the outline of a horse on my wrist or a feather on the side of my arm to continue on with the bird theme or a wolf on the back of my neck...yea I am all over the place right now. We could also maybe getting matching tats of Alicia's face?
ReplyDeleteso beautiful! i can't wait to see!!

I'm thinking a gypsy woman. I've been pinning some that I've seen around the internet. I want the big hair and flowers and everything but I want her to look more realistic (like a portrait) than tattooish.
ReplyDeleteI added you on twitter :) I'm 'hyzenthley'~
ReplyDeleteI love all of your tattoos! If I ever get something done I want a botanical theme, so it's fun seeing how you designed all of your pretty flowers ♥
I love your tattoos but I forgot that you drew them yourself! I have a pair of doves on my back (one top left, the other bottom right) and I'm longing for a peacock, but am not sure if I want to make the jump to colour...thanks for sharing your ideas with us! The quail is very, very cute :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this peek into the early stages of a new tattoo!
ReplyDeleteYour tats are so beautiful! I love the outlines and the designs, all of them! xo Samantha
ReplyDeleteI love your tattoos and now they are even more impressive as I know they are all your own design:) The sketches so far look great!
ReplyDeleteGahhh! I want another tattoo so bad too! I am going to Hawaii after I graduate and am gonna track down my tattoo artist because he moved back to Kauai... and I'm a stalker haha! I love my tattoos, but oh man every time I see yours I want them for my own! I didn't realize you had the poppies on your back too...so rad! I want you to design all of my future tattoos haha! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm now following you on twitter! yay! I love your tattoos and your most recent drawings too! can't wait to see the finished product! :) -Lo
ReplyDeleteYou're so talented, those are beautiful! Can't wait to see the final idea and the final tattoo when you get it done. I still need to add (a lot) more to Miguel, hopefully around Christmas time, too. :)
