starman

happy monday everyone! hope you all had a great weekend! the mister and i headed up to northern cali to met little bowie man and hang out with kelly-anne and family. it was really nice to see everyone, i just wish we could see them more often.
isn't his hat the cutest? his mama makes those! she is making tons for her shop so check it out!
little bowie man is such a cutie and just sleeps peacefully in our arms until he needs some milk! he was my little heater during the weekend as we sat cuddled together on the couch.
looks like i've dreads! so thats what i would look like..hmm interesting..
we caught up on true blood and had the mister dad's most delicious famous tacos! you just can't help eating so many which then turns you into a couch slug! hehe such a nice relaxing time with family....ahhh

we woke up early saturday to head back to sf for my show... deep in the pit of my stomach i new how it would turn out. man let me tell you... it was like pulling teeth. extremely painful and dreadfully boring. not many people showed up which was what i was worried about...therefore, i did not have one sale... this made me a very sad little clam...very sad but i still have too keep telling myself that it wasn't my stuff, just no one showed up! i am really hard on myself and it is something i am still working on, nobody is perfect. i did however receive many compliments on my portraits and people took my cards so it wasn't for nothing just a waste of a beautiful saturday being stuck inside. oh well, you can't win them all <3

i have the best mister in the entire world! he is so good to me and made me feel so much better after the show... plus having food really helped, my favorite, pho! i was a total grump and he let me do my thing when i got home which i really needed. i sat and doodled and got totally motivated for my new line of jewelry i have been working on. i really can't wait to start making them and show you guys and get feed back. hopefully soon, i can show you :D oh and my new animal portraits will go up in my shop this coming weekend, so if you had your eye on one, you have your chance! hehe

oh! if you haven't entered lo's printed peaks giveaway for a chance to win one of her awesome necklaces do so now! i will pick the winner on wednesday!! contest closes tuesday.... good luck!

  3. You and the baby look so cute together! I miss cuddling my little niece. I get to see her next week but last time I saw her she was only a month old and I could cuddle her lots. Now she's 9 months old and wants to crawl around. At least we can play now I guess. I'm sorry the craft fair was dull. My mom likes to go to the ones right before Christmas, they're usually poppin'! haha poppin, why did I just say that? I'm a rapper now.

  4. Aww, I love that little fella! My cousin has a baby about that size, and they are so cute when they are age because they just lay around like little cute lumps. He seems really sweet!

Sorry about the craft fair! You just have to remember that it had nothing to do with you- if more people had shown up to the craft fair you would have sold tons of stuff! I love your work and I think you are super talented and I can't wait to see more of your stuff!

  6. Don't you hate it when that happens? I'm sorry it didn't work out so well, but who knows, word of mouth can do some awesome things. I definitely would have bought something, all your little characters are so cute! I hope your weekend was good none-the-less.

p.s. I've always secretly wanted dreads... let's do it, hahaa

  15. I am sorry to hear about the show. All of your stuff is soo adorable! I know you would have had lots of sales if people were to show up! Never give up! I am looking forward to seeing your new jewelry line too!

I went to sf very early on Thursday. I am glad the weather was great that day (even though I needed a coat still)! Friday night got soo very cold though. I am just glad I survived driving in sf! haha

I hope you have a happy Tuesday!!

  16. What a cute little bundle! You look gorgeous in the pics, I like the messy hair! :) Such a shame about the market, I can understand how you felt even though it wasn't your stuff's "fault". Hopefully next time there'll be more people... I guess a lot of peeps are away on holidays at the moment.

  18. Oh noes, I don't like a sad cb :( You should feel proud of yourself for going out there and doing your thing. Every little bit counts and can lead to much more. Your work is wonderful and will sure to be a hit in the right place. Um, like my living room! Love you dear!

  19. Dude! If I saw your stall at a market I would want to buy pretty much everything - don't feel bad. You are amazing!

  20. Your stall looked fab - is that your own hexagonal table? I guess some fairs attract better customers than others - have you been to that one before? Obviopusly if I was in San Fransisco, I would have come and said hello, probably brought you a cup of tea, and more than likely taken some owls home! Come on, pay day...

  22. I would have bought all sorts of goodies from you girl! Those three little birds are still my favorite! I've had a similar experience with a SLOW show, it's the worst! Can't wait to see new jewelry line! :)
