there were so many beautiful trees on the ride bursting with color. some of the maples looked like they were going to catch fire they were so red!
i have mentioned before that whenever tom and i ride gilbert we see turkeys, well on this ride we saw four different groups of about 10 or more turkeys! it was pretty awesome oh and to top it off someone had a llama in their front yard! you can see his little llama butt through the fence, hehe
on the way back we did get caught in the rain but thankfully it didn't last very long and when we got home we both took the hottest bath to warm our numb toes and fingers....oh by the way all you tom wearing ladies, toms are NOT great for stormy weather...they get wet........ O_O
in other news we celebrated toms birthday on saturday, he met me at work and we went to one of our favorite bars/resturants and enjoyed yummy pizza and beers then headed over to a show to see the infamous string dusters. they are incredible and that may not even be the right word to describe these guys. they ooze amazinginess and really to see them live is such a treat! their music just makes you want to grab your partner and do-se-do and you really can't help but bob up and down to the music...so without further ado...for your picking pleasure...

Glad you guys got to spend some time having fun together. The maple in front of our house was so fun to watch as it went from green to yellow to red, to an almost purpley red, and now more than half the leaves are scattered on the ground.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, soggy cyclists! That band look sawesome, I bet they're just amazing live!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday tom! it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend - rain and all! <3

ReplyDeleteyour red shoes are way cute. I need to hop on board the toms train. I am go glad you share in my enthusiasm for stuffing yourself silly on Thanksgiving. I will have to take your advice and wear a flowy dress so as not to pop anyone's eye out with my flying button.
ReplyDeleteListened to the track and love it. Man I wish we lived close to each other. I would so do-se-do with you. DO you listen to Old Crow Medicine Show or Hayes Carll? You might like them.
@amber blue: yes wear a dress i am telling you, best thing ever!
ReplyDeletei would love to do-se-do with you! oh man i wish you were there! tom can't dance to save his life so i had no partner :( i new you would like these guys! i will check out the other bands too! thanks!
How beautiful is that big autumn-kissed tree? And every journey is made better for seeing a llama! by the way, did your daisy make it to you ok? I kept meaning to ask =) x

You look adorable in your riding outfit! It's so interesting to me how the leaves change and fall at different times around the country. Ours have been mostly gone for a couple of weeks! I miss the pretty colors :(
ReplyDeleteAll the autumn leaves look so pretty! I love that time of year :)
ReplyDeleteThose trees look so pretty - It's far too windy in Wellington to have trees that look like that in autumn!
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to go ahead and admit it: i am obsessed with your hat!
ReplyDeletegorgeous!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Tom and cheers to a quiet weekend, good luck with you craft projects.
ReplyDeleteLook at how cute you are in your hat!
ReplyDeleteI had a bad experience with Toms. I got the off-white color. Bad idea. They got wet and muddy, and when I washed them, the mud never came out. I ended up getting rid of them because they just wouldn't get clean. :(
Beautiful fall leaves! That is good to know about toms shoes. I haven't tried wearing them in wet weather...and I will stay away from doing that!
