what i wore: pea green

happy hump day everyone :) just one more day till i am a free little bird and can enjoy 3 days off :)
today is another work outfit and yes people i am totally and utterly obsessed with knee high socks and tights, feel free to judge me but you know when something ain't broke don't fit it, right?
this is an older modcloth dress. i really love it however it is woven and has a few pulls which i can't really do much about, just hope that i don't get anymore :)
the cardigan is a recent purchase from target and i love the color. one of my favorite things about colder weather is busting out my cardigans, i love me a good cardigan, i rarely get rid of them because they are so versatile unless the fit just doesn't suit my body type.

well, christmas presents are almost wrapped up and ready to go, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. tom and i exchanged our stockings last night. it was new for us and i think we are gonna keep doing it and make it a tradition. any traditions that you love to do during the holidays?

  2. Every Christmas Eve my mum, sister and I would wrap the pigs-in-blankets (cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon, not pastry, much like at Thanksbacon), put the icing on the chocolate yule log, make an apple pie and the mince pies, and peel the sprouts for the following day. Usually listening to Christmas tunes and/or watching Christmas films.

These days my step-gran makes the mince pies (she's a marvel) but this year I volunteered to make the chocolate yule log, which I shall be making this evening! Dang, I love Christmas :D

  3. That dress is really cute!

When I was little my mom would let us open all of our family gifts on Christmas Eve and then open "Santa" gifts on Christmas day! =) Now my hubby and I exchange one gift on Christmas Eve then open the rest on Christmas.

  8. I love that dress & cardigan together! Jamie and I have started a tradition of buying a new pair of pajamas for each other to wear on Christmas Eve. His family used to do that every year but it kind of fizzled out after half the kids grew up... I think it deserved to be resurrected.

  11. cute dress and love the color of your cardi. I need to broaden my cardi collection. They really versatile and can add nice pops of color to your outfit. Kevin and I havent really started any holiday traditions unless you count getting drunk on egg nog and brandy on Christmas Eve.

  13. I love this dress. You bike bag is so bright and cheery too! I might have to try exchanging stockings with Josh next year. That's so fun! I was just thinking about how it would be nice for us to do something just the two of us. That's such a great idea.

  17. Gorgeous outfit honey, dress & cardi are just perfect. I too have been doing the whole tight, knee high sock thing recently - though in my case because the weather's been so vile, so noone's seen them - will have to try them on show as they look so good here. xox
