what i wore: flock o' seagulls

hi everyone! i want to thank everyone regarding my last post, i felt so much love and support. i can't thank you enough!
when spring starts to come into view i always feel inspired to wear a bit of a nautical theme but then again i always love dressing this way. something about it always feels so classic and you can put your own spin on it.

this is my second solo shoot and it was fun, it was much easier this time around since i remembered how to increase the timer...that always helps. i don't ever really feel insecure about taking pictures but this dude sat on a bench and just stared at me basically for the entire time i was taking these pictures. what i'm doing is not terribly interesting so it became kinda creepy but i just ignored him but kept my eagle eye on him just in case he felt brave enough to do anything weird.

well, anywho.... the sweater i am wearing is one my favorites. i mean who doesn't love birds...i'm a huge fan unless they are flying overhead and one decides to drop a load right on your head, then they aren't my friend. OR if any of you  have run into this...pigeons, man, they just don't get out of the way when riding, they fly away right at last possible moment. the last thing i want to do is run over a pigeon on my bike, talk about awkward and totally gross.
what you can't see in any of these pictures is my scarf that also has birds on it (put a bird on it) . i love vintage scarfs but have had no idea how to wear them until recently; i finally figured what works for me. thank goodness because i was hoarding quite a collection that was just collecting dust.

  3. I love the nautical theme too. I think it's because I grew up on the coast. That sweater is adorable, it reminds me of a dress I have that's covered in little birds. You look so pretty, cb!

  9. Taking solo pictures is kind of fun...but yeah, creepy people staring should just stop it. I love that sweater! I also really like how you're wearing your scarf. I have tried that a couple of times and my hair is so fine it usually slides off pretty easily. It's cute enough that I just keep re-adjusting it though. haha

  13. Clothes are cuter when they have birds on them and your sweater is no exception. I hate it when people stare when I'm taking shots. Its just so weird and creepy. Get a life bench-warmer! As for pigeons, they are useless vile creatures. Seriously, what purpose to they serve except to annoy me?

  19. I am loving this look, BIG time! I love the birds on your sweater!

I don't like pigeons either... they have weird looks in their eyes... They creep me out.

I love all other birds, though... my parents have crazy amounts of hummingbirds at their house... they are so cute and pint size... I want to hug them, but I might kill them :(

You have inspired me to take a solo photo... I need to figure out the timer on my camera and try to photograph myself.

Keep up the super cute styling!

    xo!

  21. i've been wearing a lot of reds and navy too! along with rocking stripes and polka dots. and i'm totally in love with the shoes! how is it riding in them?

    ReplyDelete
  22. they are actually pretty easy to ride in, it took a bit to get used to them but can be a little tricky while going up hill but nothing terrible.

  23. You look smashing, I love the skinny jeans with that top! You were very brave to ignore the creep, one time I was doing a photoshoot in my living room and the neighbour opposite had builders in their flat, talk about annoying peeping toms! :)
