developed: a photo dump!

happy monday! this weekend, once again tom and i had the most magical day surfing. the sun was out, the water was actually pretty warm and we both got a bit sun kissed, it was marvelous. it was actually hard to get off our blanket in the sun. well, any who, we finally finished up the roll of film from our new underwater camera!
i think i was a mermaid in another life. me + sea + sun + waves = love.
this is the closest picture of me surfing, it is super hard to capture when we are both going for a wave but one day!
beach bum style!
yerp, that's me, floating like a little buoy in some of the sharkiest coast line... but really im in 3ft water
im pretty awesome at body surfing
yes, that is a box of pizza that we brought with us to the beach. you know your jealous.

we did bring our digital camera with us and i wanted to share my favorite one.... so just a little behind this picture if you are wondering what the hell i am doing. there is no shower or hose at this beach so if you want to wash off you have to bring your own water. we found this coleman cooler at the thrift store and we fill it up with hot water and it is the perfect shower after a long surf session!

we are pretty stoked that the film came out. i just love film, don't you?

  14. Amazing pics :-) And looks like the most fun too!
I've just uncovered my Dad's old camera from the 60s - there was a 20 year old film in it that I've just had developed!!! Taking the camera on holiday in two weeks and hope to get some glorious shots. Yes there is something magical about analogue piccies. Going to be interesting learning about all the dials on the thing... Fun

    2. Well they turned out a bit dark. All landscape pics except one of my mum looking very different to how she does now! I took the camera with an in date film on holiday last week and the pics are being developed now - fingers crossed - I kept twisting dials so goodness knows what anything will look like. But here you go - some of the 20 yr old shots from lush green England's northern lands http://penninepeddling.blogspot.co.uk/

  15. Looks like you had a blast! I love surfing!

I am totally jealous about the pizza at the beach and the surfing. You look like you're deep in the water... who woulda thought it was just 3 feet.

I love film, too. It makes me sad knowing that some of it isn't even being used anymore.

  16. They turned out so well! It's such a great idea to have an underwater camera so you can really catch all of the moments right in the ocean. I love it~

And I love your BYO hot shower too, hehe!

  17. Guuurl, a wet suit is like swimsuit spanx. I used to wear one ever so often when I worked at the zoo and I promise I wished I could wear it every time I went to the beach. I'll note that I have no reason to do that because I only go in up to my shoulders. I'm so afraid of the ocean. In Costa Rica I had an anxiety attack and said a shark almost killed me and Mexico? I blamed the Loch Ness Monster for my near demise. I so envy you and how comfy you are in the water! Anyway, it looks like a magical day. lol @ the diy shower. Whatever works!

    1. haha wetsuits totally are the new spanx! you worked at the a zoo too! SO DID I!!!!!!!! what did you do there? i was the dietitian and feed all the animals. BEST JOB EVEA. oh no a close encounter with a shark! that would make me poop my wetsuit for sure!
