i think i would go crazy if i didn't get out and explore. i have a bit of that idle hand syndrome, i don't do well not doing anything at all. so i guess this is where my love of adventure comes in hand. it over powers my cautious personality allowing me to take full advantage of what this amazing life and world has to offer me. i feel if we don't take advantage of it once in a while, there will be a point where i will regret not doing these things when i could. i never was that kid who was out of control or did crazy things so now is my chance to do it my way and i think i am doing it right.
one of the reasons why i blog, is to remember the adventures we have gone on, a way to show myself that i am living my life to its fullest. i feel very grateful that i also have someone to share these adventures with. someone who also enjoys them too and maybe when i am not feeling an idea that he is there to say come on, lets just try it. it is a great way to understand more about yourself. to know your limits and how far you can push yourself. i know i have grown into a better person because of the experiences i have allowed myself to adventure to.
with each adventure, i become more confident with what is important in my life, what can be cast aside and what is worth sticking around for. i know without adventuring, i would not be the person i am today. that is why i adventure.

you make it sound so simple...although i would love to travel...work and money holds me back. and maybe laziness and fear? i don't know... it's nice though that the blogging world allows people like me to live vicariously through people like you!
ReplyDeleteWell said, girl! I love that you guys go on so many adventures near where you live. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, but it's easy to forgot there are a lot adventures to be had close to home! Have fun camping!
ReplyDeleteI love living vicariously through yall's adventures. One day I'm gonna stop being such a wuss and brave the wilderness for real camping time. I hope that day comes soon and i hope it happens in CA :)
ReplyDeleteLove love loved this post. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI love this post!!! I'm pretty cautious, and you've inspired me to plan our next adventure! Wooo! Thank you! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteAdventures are such an essential part of life. We have been too busy lately to get out on too many of our own, but there is always a little tugging in my soul to get out and explore.
ReplyDeletegoing on adventures is awesome! i definitely need more adventure in my life...& in fact, my husband & i had been talking about doing more fun outdoor things with our kids this summer. of course, those plans got derailed as we have been spending so much time in the hospital & now at home recovering. adventures will happen though, i know it.

I love that you go out adventuring, it certainly inspires us to go out and do the same. The best memories are the ones in which you are challenged, trying something new and bonding over the madness and random things that happen along the way. Enjoy your weekend camping lady!
ReplyDeleteI love love love reading about your adventures. They're such fun ways to keep life exciting! Have fun camping!
ReplyDeleteI love that you adventure! You're blog post definitely inspire me to go adventuring. Even with my two little ones I think its important for them to get out and doing stuff just as much as it is for us old folks.
ReplyDeleteI like to think of my blog as a sort of journal of past adventures too. I love scrolling through and looking at all the things we've done. That's the main reason I decided to head back to my blog and start posting again. I'm really glad I did. It takes time and effort but I think it's really worth it. It's like an online version of scrapbooking, and I'm not good at scrapbooking lol.
Have fun adventuring!
well said mujer!
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed your blog because through it I get to see a part of the world I wouldn't otherwise see.... like the ocean & surfing... and biking advntures you all take. Thank you for welcoming us into your world & sharing your adventures with us!
xoxoxo!

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I love reading about your adventures, especially the cycling kind. It's wonderful that you can share these adventures with your Tom- I am sure you do the same for him as he does for you.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about camping! The thought of camping in Southern Arizona right now, is akin to torture, so I am living vicariously through you!
Adventure away!
Well said! Exploring and adventure is healthy for the soul.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your adventures! You are absolutely right in doing everything you want if you can, we'll only regret the things we didn't do! It's so great you both enjoy your adventures as much as the other one, keep adventuring! :)
ReplyDeleteXo L
Very well said. :) I feel the same way. You have to go out there and do stuff! Life will pass you by. I love blogging about places I go and have been so that I can go back and relive the memories.
ReplyDeletei'm terrible at adventures, so i just like to read about yours. i hope you had fun camping! <3
ReplyDeleteyou know how much I love to read about your adventures :) you make them so vivid & they look amazing, it's the next best thing to actually being there & experiencing them, so thank you honey for continuing to share them with us!
ReplyDeleteI suppose we have adventures too but ours tend to be mostly when we're abroad, when we're at home we're rather boring really, I try to get us to do more but there always seems to be something that stops us (often the rubbish weather!). Here's to many more for us all xox
Great post!! I also am a cautious person, but I refuse to let it get the best of me. I'm always asking my husband if we can go on adventures, I love trying new things, I completely agree with you :)
