birds of a feather: wedding invitations

happy monday everyone! hope everyone had a great weekend and super awesome 4th (if your in the states) family time was awesome, i love tom's family so much. bowie's birthday bash was a success, we ate s'mores, did our own fireworks equipped with sparklers, which i haven't played with in forever and did a bit of shopping. it was a great time.
last week i finished up the wedding invitations & rsvp cards i was working on. i just did the artwork and she will be doing her own calligraphy. she was very specific about what she wanted, where the design was to be placed and the colors. this is the first non-tattoo flash i designed and it was a bit different and i liked it. i am so thankful for all the experiences i have been offered this year.
they are 80% larger then the actual invitations will be. it was much easier to design on a larger scale so i could put more detail in the birds and going larger and then reducing always looks so much better. i hope she sends me a picture of the final product. i did a little version for her so she could get an idea of what they were gonna look like with script on it and it looked great.

we are doing a trade so i am getting paid in massages (edit: was messages, thanks amber) and can't wait for my first round!

xo,

  9. What beautiful artwork . I love your originality (if that's even a word?!)
I started reading your blog three weeks ago when I came across it by chance. You have now inspired me to buy a second hand vintage bicycle and get pedalling! I am picking it up Friday, a bright blue Raleigh traveller and I am SO excited! Just need some Californian weather to arrive in the UK now.
Thanks for the inspiration, I love reading your adventures, brightens up my day :-)
