taking care of business

happy monday to you all. hope everyone had a stellar weekend. work has been busy and there has been a lot of cleaning and lugging of rugs. good times. im ready for a break to rest my bones, luckily i have a massage thursday so that will be rejuvenating. just a few more days :) so in the midst of working, i received a wonderful little package....my business cards!
i was so stoked and very happy with the results. i wanted people to walk away with a little piece of my art. a nice reminder. the back has all the info in typewriter font and as i type this, i realize i didn't include a picture of it. i didn't order many as i wanted to use them as test run but i think i would like the design to be a bit bigger and colored. i have a great idea and can't wait to draw it out, paint it up and get it printed.
included in my package i also ordered some note cards. i have always wanted to get stationery of my designs made and just have never made the jump. this was a great start and i want to design some for perhaps my shop. crazy, ever since we went camping, i have had this huge serge of creative ideas and sketches swirling around in my head. i love when my creative juices are alive! i cant wait to share my most recent piece.

  1. This looks great, a painted version will be really cool too. You know, you just motivated me to take a camping trip with Josh. Perhaps in the fall. I'd like some quiet time in the woods to recollect.

  5. happy Monday to you too sweetness! love the new biz cards and the idea of having something you created is even more special!! i'd be stoked to pass these out, they're super pretty.

you know we were just watching the Bob Marley doc last night and one of the things he says is that he and "the boys" would always make time for physical activity. they'd play soccer or go for a beach run, Bob said that this is what got his creative juices fired up and gave him the most insp for making his music. i loved hearing that, so inspiring. i getcha totally about being away from computers, tech and all the blatant worldly stimuli. it gets us almost censored to our own emotional state. good for you on taking this trip. xo ♥
