my best friends wedding

well, we are back. back to the grind, back to reality, back to our regular schedule. we had such a great time in boston. we didn't get to do much touristy things as we had a lot of wedding events planned while we were there but we did get to walk around davis square which is in somerville and did a bit of shopping and eating. other then that we had such a great time!! here is a peek into the main events!

man oh man! we had soo much fun at the bachlore! we went out to dinner with all the ladies in the family at a restaurant on the dock. we made sure she was appropriately ornamented for the occasion too :) after that we were driven to a drag show which was so much fun not to mention hilarious. everyone should go to a drag show, they are the best! then later we danced the night away. i know i woke up with a huge hangover but it was so worth it. knowing that my best friend had a great time makes even the worst hangover okay :D
the happy couple
my best friends family. they are all so beautiful!
at the spa after we got our hair did
the beautiful bride and her awesome hair! she looked incredible!
best friends forever!
the wedding was soo beautiful. it rained off and on but we were able to get through the entire ceremony without any rain, yay! my friends dad married them and it was such a sweet ceremony and it was just so perfect. tom hand painted the seating chart for them and it turned out SOO GOOD! he is pretty talented, that one :) they had a tree thumb print as their guest book and had the most beautiful vintage pictures of other family members wedding days surrounding the thumb print tree. such a wonderful touch. her mom also embroidered all the napkins, we kept ours as a memento :) the food was great, the company even better and the dancing AMAZING! it poured on and off while we danced but that didn't stop anyone, there was actually at one point a group of ladies dancing in the rain. on top of it the dj had a video recording the entire time we danced, i can not wait to see it!

it was so wonderful to see two wonderful families come together and even more wonderful to see and be a part of such a wonderful moment in my best friends life. i am so happy for them and wish them all the love and happiness that life has to offer them. weddings truly are the best no matter how small or large they are.

i've been off the blogging grid for a bit now but am sure happy to be catching up here today :) between getting an end-of-summer cold (thanks for the well wishes) and then vacating the premises to San Fran (the boyf & i finally had a real holiday-yah!), well things got a little hairy for any kind of blog upkeep or visits.

your trip to Boston sounds like a bunch of fun - i've never been but am dying to get there one day too. happy almost weekend! xo ♥

  4. I LOVE her dress! I've always said if I ever do that whole renew the vows thing, I am going for a tea length dress like hers. They are so cute and she looks all kinds of wonderful in it. This sounds like a great little wedding. I love weddings that encourage dancing. Dancing is where its out. I sure would like to see some video/pics of everyone get their boogie on at the reception :) I know you brought some killer moves to that dance floor.
