5 important things

hello. hope everyone is enjoying their week. my friend kiley over at let it be raw photography posted this wonderful post about the 5 important things to her and i loved it so much that i wanted to do it too. so here we go!

1. family & friends
i dont know what i would do if i didnt have my friends and family. having support no matter what is what keeps me going. knowing that they will always be there for me when i most need them and that they love me for me. that feels good know that you have that and it is truly important to show them how much you appreciate their love too.

2. laughing
who doesnt love to laugh. it really is the best medicine. it makes the bad things go away and it makes you take a step back and remember not to take things too seriously. without laughter life would be pretty boring. i love making silly faces and laughing at my self, its humbling.

3. being creative
i have always needed this outlet. i would be lost without it. even if it wasnt my career i would still need to have a creative outlet, its just who i am. now that i am pursuing a life of being a tattoo artist, i finally feel like i have found my creative home. i feel like i have been searching for so long to find it and it feels great to finally find it. it will be a hard road but i know so rewarding for me, my future and tom. i could not be happy

4. adventuring
i love going on adventures. from surfing, hiking, biking or even trying a new cuisine. it is another thing that i have always loved and has always been a part of me. im lucky to be able to share this with someone. if we cannt go out to an adventure, trying new food is the next best thing. we are really open when it comes to food and we are lucky that we live in an area that offers so many types of food. we havent really gone on any recently because of all the changes in the past two months but we do have one planned  in november. trying new things opens your mind, teaches things about yourself that you may never have known and it helps you push yourself.

5. reading
i love getting lost in a book. stories are so magical no matter what type of platform it is whether is be a movie, a show or a book. for me i prefer a book.reading about others lives and putting myself in the story. i love where my imagination takes me and how much i can get caught up in it. they often feel like friends and rereading a favorite book is like visiting an old friend. books are timeless no matter how old i get, i will always be reading. mostly fiction cause im a nerd and love wizards, witches and dwarves :)

if you wanna take part in this link up and let me know! i look forwarding to reading it!

  1. I just love how different everyone's 5 important things list is. But, we all seem to share one important thing - family, friends, and community. That makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.

  2. hells yea for sci fi book nerds!!! whoop whoop! I love everything having to do with unicorns, faeries, mermaids, etc. Speaking of which, if you have any good book recommendations I could use them. The last two books I've read were flops and the one I am reading now is good but its missing the sci fi element.

  4. I think that my list of 5 would be very similar to yours! I especially agree with #5. My friend, Erik, and I were just talking about how kids today don't read (he teaches high schoolers and I teach college) even though it would benefit them in such a major way because it would help their imaginations.

Of course, friends and family are on the top of my list, too! Hooray for laughter with friends and family!

  7. what an awesome list honey, you made me smile reading it, and I've kept it for inspiration - i think those are the things I'd choose too, but I think sometimes I forget how important they are (not meaning to, but life just gets in the way, if I'm making any sense!). Thank you for reminding me that they are the things that I love too & need to fill more of my life with them all, thank you for being so fabulous sweetie, you always inspire me, hugs xox
