in the mean time, the great thing about working at a tattoo shop is, well... free tattoos! ever since tom and i got our matching square knot bracelets i have wanted anchors on my middle fingers. it was kinda slow at the shop friday and i asked my buddy if he would tattoo me and he did! i was a bit shocked that it didnt really hurt that much and now i cant stop looking at my fingers, i love them soooo much! this week i will also be getting work done on my thigh. sadly that wont be finished, ill probably have one more session after that and then i will reveal my first and largest tattoo! cant wait!!

DeleteFree tattoos- what a job perk! So much better than the usually 10-20% off places give their employees :) I love the anchors- I've always like finger and wrist tattoos, very cute! I hope you get a day off soon!!

I keep saying I'm gonna get a second tat and I really want too but I feel like the folks in the tat shops by me kinda judge me for getting small girlie tats like my swallow. I need a judgement free tat shop! Maybe you could move here and open one up and I could be like the shop manager and make the playlists for the day's work and tell funny jokes while you work....are you game?? :)
ReplyDeleteum you know that if you got a tattoo from me it would be free right? no way i would charge my amberbluebird!! i would never judge if you wanted the biggest girlie thing ever! a tattoo is a tattoo no matter what it is and your badass for getting one! i am totally game to open my own tattoo shop, hopefully that dream comes true too!!!

ReplyDeleteit was a great pay off but they are sucker to have in the healing process. they touch everything and are still a bit soar so it isn't fun banging into stuff! oh well!

DeleteWhen I was working in the shop, my best friend and I got some BFF tats. I inked "No, Dude" on her ass cheek, and my mentor put "YEAH DUDE" on the backs of my knees. It hurt so bad, but I love how they represent me as the optimist and her as the pessimist! Someday I'll make it out there so I can get something done by you!

ReplyDeleteawww i love these anchors, my friends who aren't married but our life partners and have a couple kids together always say that he's the captain and they have this nautical them going and they got tats of a boat for him and an anchor for her, since she keeps him grounded. I love your anchors!
