saturday was a gorgeous day and the weather was amazing, really the perfect fall day. this outfit was perfect to ride in. my circle scarf which is my favorite <3, my polka dot sheer tights, home made cut off shorts with my black tiger shirt and rugby sweater. i have learned to dress in layers since my move to the bay area 7 years ago and it goes the same for biking too but having too many layers can be hard to handle especially when you have to keep taking layers off. accessories is really where i have learned to layer for biking. using a scarf for a bit of extra warmth is perfect because if you don't want to wear it anymore it is so small that you can put it in your bag.
here are some great shots of that day.
the little yellow flecks are leaves that were falling from a near by tree, it was soo pretty |
on our way home, waiting for bart |
my oxford shoes are really great to ride in. they are sturdy and fit perfectly in my clips. it really makes a difference to have a sturdy shoe because it distributes the weight of your foot more evenly giving you more power when pedaling.
i hope we get more of these awesome days before the rain comes!

I have that sweater! I love it. I also love your tights, so much.
ReplyDeletelove the color blends you mixed with your outfit, brights and dark tones to even out the look. it hasn't felt like fall or winter here right? i often find myself wearing dresses with a sweater, scarf, without tights or leggings.
ReplyDeletethe mister has a good eye for photographing you. mad props to him!
Hi Cb:
ReplyDeleteI really love the "blurred" photo of you and I agree with Maddy: your polka dot tights are great.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
PS. Lovely couple with the Mister ;)

Love your polka dot tights! Patterned tights are a wardrobe essential for me as im tall and dresses are normally short on me lol

Cute tights! I need to go shopping for some. Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Im so glad you did cuz now i found yours!
ReplyDeleteI love tights and shorts! It is definitely all about layers in this neck of the woods... never know when the fog will strike haha! I'm glad you guys got some sunshine over the weekend too though! It's supposed to rain here this weekend, so I'm sure it's headed your way soon enough :(.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos! There's always such a difference between film and digital, something to do with the mood.
ReplyDeleteJealous of your bikes~
Girl, that is totally a "biking-chic" outfit. I think tights are better when you're riding (and you don't have to roll up one pant leg in fear of getting caught in the chain!).
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. This week is almost over!!
Love these photos! Your outfit looks great:)
ReplyDeleteAnd the leaves falling off the trees like that...that's one of my favourite things about autumn!
Loooooo-uh-uh-uh-ooooooove the *tiger* T!
ReplyDeletelooks like a fun day! i LOVE your outfit!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic outfit! Also, though I've said this before, I'll say it again -- loving the hairdo!!!
