we're back! part 2 of 2: disney cruise: photdump, yay!

this week is flying by which always makes me a happy little clam :D hopefully we will be going on some much needed bike rides this coming weekend. i am also dying to get out in the yard and pull some weeds. call me crazy but somebodies got to do it! the mister's throat has been hurting so we might need to lay low again...aahhh!!! send some healthy vibes this way please! this girls gotta get out on her bike and ride!!!!

so here are some pictures of the cruise. we set sail from l.a on sunday and were out at sea for two days. the first day was super windy and cold but we managed to find some cozy spots and bundled up in some blankets and watched the sea roll by. we saw some whales jumping but they were so far away that we couldn't take a picture of them...from where we were sitting you could see the a spray of water and then a flipper! it was pretty cool!

huge big screen right in front of the pool. watching alice in wonderland while probably getting burnt
i escorted the little nugget down the aisle
ladies man!
tuesday the sun came out so we sat in the sun and watched disney movies on the big screen. sadly we both got burnt. it wouldn't have been a proper vacation if one of us didn't get burnt. luckily it was only on my legs but the poor mister! later that day the mister's sister had her wedding ceremony on the 7th floor of the ship. it was so beautiful and a perfect day for a wedding. such a beautiful couple and even cuter family!

wednesday we docked at puerto vallarta and the mister and i ventured out. we went to a little market place and yes, purchased a mexican blanket and a super cute hand painted plate. since we were burnt we sat in the shade of a little palm leaf umbrella and drank pina coladas, so yummy!

my "pirate" outfit
the next two days were spent in cabo san lucas. it was so beautiful to walk out on the upper deck and just take in the beautiful scenery. cabo was so pretty. we decided to stay on the boat and take advantage of the empty  pool and then went onto shore a bit later to walk around. the sunset that night was so beautiful and so so peaceful. there was a pirate party on thursday night so i tried to dress up in my most pirate outfit but it did not compare to others who were fully decked out in pirate gear...they came prepared! friday again we sat by the pool. the mister read while i took several cat naps. our room must have been above the motor room because every so often during the night and morning this horrible loud long noise would go off making it hard to get a solid night of sleep.

this is me "winning"
the cruise was really relaxing. like i said we did a lot of lounging about and playing dominoes and sipping on cold drinks. it was so nice to spend so much time together and with the family. although i could have done without stuffing myself every single night. dinner was like thanksgiving and you never turn down thanksgiving dinner...the food was so yummy my plate was cleaned every night and often cleaned with a piece of bread! i now feel like i have an inner tube around my tummy but so worth it :D

have any of you been on a cruise before? luckily i didn't get sea sick this time but two days after being off the boat i still felt the rocking...a really strange feeling...like i was kinda drunk but sober if that makes any sense.

have a great weekend everyone!

  16. what great photos (esp love the 2nd one) so pleased you all had such a wonderful time (sorry about the sunburn though, ouch) and I LOVE your 'nautical' outfits, oh so cute!
Hubby resists every mention of a cruise - perhaps it's because my parents take at least one a year - but I'd love to do something like yours, looks like so much fun!
I'm also very pleased you didn't get seasick honey, though maybe earplugs for the next one? Thank you for sharing xox

  17. Wow - this is amazing. A lot of people in NZ travel to islands like the Cook Islands or Samoa to get married. But I have never heard of anyone getting married on a boat before. Amazing.

I really love your style too - especially the pokadot swimsuit and your beautiful tattoos.

Thanks so much for the comment on my blog.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog, about the bike pot holder..there was a alchohol shop closing down in my area and it had the bike to display wine. Although it was royal blue and a not very nice! So we got it powder coated cream and put it in the garden, it just fits so perfectly!

Hope you visit again soon, as I will be for your blog :)
