hope you all had a great weekend! the weather here has been pretty pretty fine these past few days. at first i was a bit scared, the week started off with fog and cold mornings but by the tail end of the week it proved me wrong. i am not ready to give up this heat as we haven't gotten much here this summer so i am hanging on to every little bit and lovin' it! we had a really great weekend, just me and the mister, just the way i like it!
we woke up early friday and i couldn't wait to wear my new
teacher's pet blouse from
red velvet so i throw that on and we drove over to our favorite greasy spoon to get a yummy breakfast.
|
love me some grits! |
nothing like a greasy breakfast to soothe the soul and warm your heart <3 with our bellies full we then hit up all the local thrift stores and one garage sale! yup a lot of treasuring hunting was done that day and it was fantastic! we didn't have much to do that day so why the heck not, right?!
|
we drove a LOT that day, thanks tom for driving, your the best! |
|
i love the back of this dress! |
|
detail of the pattern |
we were on the hunt for some fantastic outfits for a project that we are working on but with no avail but i was pretty stoked on this really cute daisy dress which is pretty much perfect and i was even more stoked to find this fleece denim jacket and when i brought it up to the cash register it was half off, BOOYAH! i am one of those people that have a hard time finding jackets that i like so it was really awesome to score this.
we got several good vinyls, the prince album we already had but not on vinyl so of course we couldn't pass that one up! and jackie jormpjomp (please somebody know who i am talking about!) this album is really good, a pity she had an early invitation to the grave.
at the garage sale we found this 4 piece set of blue crystal glasses! they were still in the box and the are the same ones we have but ours are orange. just need to christen them with a yummy bottle of red wine!
later that night we went to the east bay bike party but our battery died when we got there so i couldn't take a video of the ride, it was a HUGE turn out and ended at a brewery, with taco trucks that were some of the best tacos i have had in a while!
how was your weekend? any good treasures?
xo,
cb
The back of that dress is fabulous! Perfect for summer. My weekend was calm, relaxing, and ended with my sweet grandma turning 87. She is very spritely for her age.
ReplyDeleteOoh you look soo cute in that dress! Perfect with your tattoos :) I had a nice thrifting weekend, too as you may have seen in my last post;
ReplyDeleteand I love the glasses you found, they remind me of "Alice in Wonderland" (don´t ask me why, i don´t know)
You are the most adorable thing I have seen in forever. Seriously, you look stunning in both those outfits. Tom is a lucky man, not just because he has a hot wife but a smart, interesting, thrifty and creative one as well, who is also sweet as can be. That bike ride had such a huge turn out, I love taco trucks, or roach coaches as they're called here, so yummy!
ReplyDeleteWow - that red velvet dress looks GREAT on you. I love the daisy dress on you. Seriously, one day I will have to come over and spend a weekend with you and eat at an American Greasy spoon!
ReplyDeleteOnly my GOLD RUSH NECKLACE! I love it! I am jealous of your Teacher's Pet blouse...I had my eye on one of those but I really don't need any more tops!
ReplyDeleteit is not fair how much i love that daisy dress + those boots!!! you rock it! have a happy monday :)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! You look so cute in your RV top!! Sounds like a super fun weekend! Oh and I love Tom's hat...came out so good!! :) -Lo
ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome weekend! You look fabulous in the Teacher's Pet shirt! Love that color green on you! Eeek! Thank you for loving grits! I know a handful of people that like grits (and I'm in the South!) and adding you to the list makes my heart happy. That dress is fantastic too, loving the print and your daisy chain! Happy Monday!

'Twas a beautiful weekend for you! You look AMAAAZING in the teacher's pet blouse- great outfit. Nice dress, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I must gush on your 1999 album find. That one's a GEM. I squealed like a schoolgirl when I found mine but it's missing the first disc. "International Lover" & "Little Red Corvette" are my favorites.
several points need to be made:
ReplyDeletefirst that top is crazy cute and you look picture perfect in that outfit. I want to copy everything about it.
Second who the heck is Jackie Jompjormp? I even tried to google her so I could at least look cool but that didnt work.
Thirdly, sealab rocks my world.

I followed a link from open house for butterflies to you and I love your blog because I love city life even though now, I have moved to the burbs in order to own a home. I kept looking at your photos and said, wait a minute, that is my city, San Francisco where I have spent the majority of my life, so it will be cool to follow your adventures. I still spend a lot of time in the city and you are right about trying to soak up all of the sun that you can, this has been a lousy weather summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the teacher's pet blouse! I'm so glad I stumbled upon your lovely blog, I'm following you now :)

ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable! I like both outfits, but I must say you look fantastic in the first one. I saw that top at Renegade Chicago and wanted to snag it so badly, but it was a little out of my price range...super super super cute on you!
ReplyDeleteFantastic outfits! They have such different vibes, and you pull them both off so well. Way to go!
