hope everyone is enjoying this fine september. i know i have! sewing has been sooo great, i really do enjoy sewing so so much. doing just a bit each day really helps me and it is helping with balancing everyday life and my crafting. my sewing machine is in the same room as the kitchen and it sits right on my desk so it is always ready to go, i love it. i can just jump into my seat and sew while food is cooking, perfect. i am in no rush to get a bunch of stuff done, so there is no pressure. i have just been buzzing along happily and finished my first project which was tom's mexican blanket hat.

cuuuuute! i'm terrible at sewing and hideously impatient which makes most projects a disaster for me. i'm glad you're having fun and making cute things! <3
ReplyDeleteI can totally picture Tom in that hat, great job, it's awesome! I need to get out my sewing machine and learn to use it. My sister taught me how to set it up but we were having a lot of trouble with the tension not being right and we tried everything, time to call the manufacturer for help I guess.
ReplyDeleteI need to sew more frequently- like you said it helps. Love the hat!

That hat is awesome. The print, the style, everything! Once I'm done with the projects I have going for september I'm going to have to give myself a sewing challenge too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have such a mexican blanket, but i guess i wouldn´t be able to cut and resew it, because they are so hard to get in my area.
And your sewing place sounds so functional, i always have to stow away my sewing machine, because of space issues. you´re lucky!
You are really talented person! I wish I know how to sew!
ReplyDeletegreat hat! paul loves these bicycle hats so i'm definitely putting it on the list to make. great fabric too : ) what hat pattern did you use? xo
ReplyDeletethat turned out great! love it.
ReplyDeletei so wish i had somewhere i could leave my machine set up. it definitely stinks having to set up my machine every time i want to sew. ah, but someday it will have it's own little spot.
i'm excited to see what you'll make next. my first project is nearly complete :)
