awww mid week. feels so nice knowing that today is my friday.
i wore this to work last saturday. it didn't rain that day but it was SUPER windy. i rode my bike all the way to the train in my highest gear which is reserved for hill climbing. at one point i felt like i could have walked faster.
i love this sweater so much and finally figured out how to wear it properly. since it doesn't have buttons or anything to secure it, it sometimes feels cape like. belting it really made a difference.
i got my leather backpack at the thrift store this weekend and i am not sure about it yet. i am having my yellow pannier fixed by celeste's mom. i really like the color and how small it is but since i am totting around my HUGE hardcover game of thrones book it doesn't leave much room for much else.
sporting my black triple triangle necklace i made for myself. i tried to add a pop of color as i have a hard time leaving the house in all neutrals so i threw on a bright orange lipstick. my ears have been a bit sensitive since i slept with earrings on so they are irritated at the moment. otherwise i would have worn a pair of bright orange studs i bought the other day.

I forget what movie I am quoting, but the line goes something like... "love the sweater, love the bag, love the shoes.... love you." I pretty much feel that way right now... I have severe sweater envy! That sweater is FANTASTIC! I love how you styled this look.
ReplyDeleteI like the orange lipstick. I think bright lip colors are very classic and sexy, without being too drastic.
Enjoy your days off!
aw thanks bobby!! your so sweet. bright lipstick can always pump up a boring outfit and make it awesome.
DeleteYour such a cutie pie!!!! Hearts and Happy your Friday! Janna Lynn

i have a two of those necklaces up in my shop but not a black one. the one i am wearing was actually gonna go up but i loved it so much that i didn't want to part with it!
Deletehi cutie! You look darling here as always!
ReplyDeleteare those shoes from Target?! Shoe twinsies if they are!
we are of course shoe twins! YAY! :)
DeleteI love it! Your necklace matches so well with your cardigan :)
ReplyDeletethanks lyndall!
Deleteyay for orange studs there so fun i have a pair too. the lipstick was just the right amount of color. your sweater is so cozy and that belt worked perfectly. sweet necklace. it looks so professional like something i'd see at anthro or urban outfitters.
ReplyDeletei think i might be obsessed with orange....i just bought a orange nail polish and it matches my studs EXACTLY! i think i might need to do a whole orange accessory post or something.
Deletei made that necklace for the shop but couldn't part with it so it is all mine! i have two others up in the shop that are green & red. i would love to one day sell my stuff at anthro or uo!
How do you always look so cute?!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your sweater! I saw a similar one on swell lately but all colorful, I'm hoping it goes on clearance soon!
ReplyDeletewhat?!?! a more colorful version of my sweater! i must see this wonder!! gonna check out swell right now! eep! thanks jordan! how is the move coming along?
DeleteARGH! I have been hunting for a leather rucksack for months! I carry a normal rucksack, but it's a bit too big for my everyday needs and it makes me look like a student.
ReplyDeleteyea before this i was wearing a regular backpack and just felt like a huge turtle riding my bike so i needed to do something about it! i hope you find one eleni!
DeleteI love this sweater. And the whole outfit looks so cosy.

Tabatha
thanks tabatha!! cosy was key for that day. it was cold out!
Deleteamazing sweater!
ReplyDeletethe belt works perfectly with the cardi and I actually really like the backpack. Game of Thrones is certainly worth a little discomfort. I cant wait till I finish book 4. I caught myself skimming pages yesterday. Its just not the same without Jon.
ReplyDeleteyea i skimmed a bit...when he starts naming all these people, what they are wearing what their sigil is my eyes start to glaze over....NERD OVERLOAD!!!! it is worth a discomfort especially when i get to read about jon. do you know when the series starts again? i need to see jon!!!
DeleteI love that your bag is mostly taken up by your book. You're a girl who's got her priorities straight! Hope there's room for a snack in there, though...
ReplyDeleteits the nerd in me :D there is a tiny teeny bit of room for snack but not much else! hehe
DeleteGah!!! I LOVE that sweater. Love, love, love!!! Also, your necklace is so pretty. :D
ReplyDeletethank you angie! the sweater i thrifted but it is from h&m :)
Deleteawesome outfit! I really love the print in on the sweater! And backpacks are kind of my favorite...envious! :) -Lo
ReplyDeletesuper cute outfit, missy. i especially dig your new backpack. A LOT.
ReplyDeletelove the cardi - I know what you mean about trying to figure the best way to wear something, it looks fab with the belt. Hope you have a wonderful weekend sweetie.
ReplyDeletePS Mum & Dad had a great first day in San Francisco - went on a long trip around the city & Mum was heading for the gorgeous Cathedral later; she cried when she walked on the Golden Gate Bridge as her uncle helped to build it so it was very special for her. Today they're on a trip to Alcatraz (hope they let them out, ha ha). xox
thanks ruth!
Deleteso glad your parents had a great time! what catherdal the one in north beach? that one is really pretty. hope they liked alcatraz!
I think so, that's the one we suggested :) & they loved alcatraz, cells & all! xox
DeleteYou could not be any cuter! I love that sweater SO MUCH, and it looks pretty awesome with your necklace.
ReplyDeletethat sweater looks so cozy & the necklace works perfectly with it. as always, so cute.

lovittttttty LOVE this whole outfit, but that backpack is swooooon worthy. lemme know if you ever want to sell it ;)
ReplyDeleteoh will totally tell you when i cam gonna sell it :)
Deletethose winds i swear, they get the best of me. love the backpack, a good alternative from the pannier. adorable as always.
ReplyDeletewind is my least favorite weather to ride in. during the summer where hyde & market meet is SOO windy, almost got blown off a few times this year.
Deleteaww you look adorable, such a great outfit for riding- way to go biking up that hill! Def a good thrift find on that backpack but I know what you mean.. esp when biking it gets a little tricky, I want a basket for this very reason. Sounds wonderful having a half week :)
ReplyDeletehttp://dusanabotswana.com/
having a basket is great but at the moment i can't have one, it makes the back of the bike soo heavy and communting everyday i have to lift my bike up 3 flights of stairs and it gets tiring after awhile :)
