the sunny side of things

ahh, my weekend has begun... lets start things off right by showing you a painting i finished last weekend. do you remember this post?

well, i finally framed the violets, i just need to put it up and take a picture when it isn't so dark in our bedroom. i found a frame tucked away that was gold and didn't like the color clash so i painted it a light yellow green and love it. we have a floral theme in the bedroom so my new addition fit right in.
immediately after my tax woah's i needed a littler pick me up. so i grabbed my tracing paper and pencil and started on my poppy design.
i can't tell you how therapeutic it was to just jump right in. i just LOVE how it turned out. when i started these designs a while back, i knew i had stumbled onto something that i loved doing. combining my two loves, painting and florals.
we added the poppies to our wall in the living room and i love how it pops! it is so bright and happy and eye catching. a lot of my artwork is up on this wall and it always makes me so happy knowing that a huge part of me is presented on it.
i am slowly and surely starting an army of these paintings and once i am done i will be putting them up in the shop...at the moment i have so many projects going on....i need like a staycation or something where i can just bust out a bunch of work...oooooooh that sounds sooo good right now.
