blossoms

first off, happy bike to work day! props to all you out there joining in on today's celebration and riding your bike to work. i, however, am not. it is my day off and i am working from home today getting lots and lots accomplished!

this is my most recent piece, the one i mentioned last week. i am super stoked to tell you all, that, all of paintings are up at the gallery. i went in yesterday and they took all three, except for my black eyed susans which is already sold! i was inspired by the kikusakura blossoms and have been seeing so many of these  blossoms all over sf. if the pieces in the gallery sell, no worries, i will be making more and will also make prints of them too but it might be a while. i am super busy and am trying to balance everything. its reeeal hard.

saturday is my opening and when talking to the owner of the gallery, she said it was going to be busy. i am super nervous but thankful that it isn't a solo show otherwise i would be drenched in sweat the entire time. it is nice to share the limelight. makes it easier on my nervous....wow i sound like an old lady! i will take lots of pictures and share the experience.

  1. You first gallery opening - wow - you're so amazing. I would be super nervous too, I get nervous when I make a cake for a friend as I worry they won't like it! So I think you are just so brave and at the same time I'm sure it will be awesome, because you're awesome!

    1. thanks kiley! i get my frames from viking wood crafts. they are great and they make them in a bunch of sizes and shapes. i should try another shape maybe but just love the oval so much. you don't see many of those and i adore how they look on the way mixed with square and rectangle frames. xoxox

  16. oh you really know how to pick your colors this is gorgeous! i love that you chose to use a dark wooden frame as well. coincidentally i rode my bike to work on thursday. yay! it's been so rainy and i've been a little lazy but i must get back on the bike for real for real.
