over the weekend

hello, hello! well, i had a fantastic 3 days off! heading to work sunday was a bit painful, i was sad to leave family and i am sure gained a few pounds from the non-stop eatng fest but we had such wonderul memories from our thanksgiving weekend. here is a bit how it went...
thanksgiving! we were in charge of the turkey this year, everything turned out amazing. since this is the 4th year we have been doing it on our own, we have finally got it down, dinner was perfect! i was so thankful for wearing a loose fitting skirt so i could really pack that food in.
we had lots of nugget time. clementine does this thing where she loads things on top of you (im not sure if she has an actual name for this game) but last year tom was her victim and she kept putting sunglasses on his face. this year it was my turn :) she kept stuffing toys into every little possible nook and cranny. she is the cutest.
friday was tom's birthday so the whole family headed out to breakfast and had some more turkey :D then we played 9 innings of baseball with a huge group of dudes. the team i was on won, there was even a trophy and i even hit the ball TWICE and got to first base!!!
when we got home, the most amazing cake was awaiting tom! kelly-anne handmade a burger cake, it was AMAZING! almost too amazing to eat because it was just soooo cool looking! friends came over later and we laughed, drank and danced. i was over the moon that tom had the best day ever. it made me so happy that he had such an awesome birthday and i could not have planned it better!

the rest of the weekend we recovered, ate left overs and crafted.  good, good times. how was your weekend?

  2. I also love that awesome cake! But maybe even more I love Clementine's dress and hairstyle - I want to imitate her this Christmas (if my baby bump didn't spoil the effect!) She is my new style icon.

Glad you had a happy weekend!

  5. It looks like you have a wonderful weekend! Wish I could say mine was just as fun, but alas, it was not. I worked on Saturday at my friend's shop and it was PANDEMONIUM! I was exhausted. Then I had to grade student essays, and I swear they drive me to drink! But enough of me being a debbie downer...

That hamburger cake is AWESOME! I am so glad you had a great weekend with your family and friends. Your niece is adorable. I am not ready to have kids yet, but when I am, I can only hope that I will luck out and have a beautiful girl like your niece. I love that she loads you up with stuff. That's hilarious!

Hope all is well back at work.

  7. looks like fun! Your turkey looks yummy. I have yet to make a turkey so I have to give you props on that. I got to play an interesting game with my little cousin who is a year and a half. He puts a handful of cheerios in my hand one by one and when he has put them all in my hand then he wants me to scatter them on the table so he can do it again. Fun times.
