it was a super foggy and a cold day but his parents went with me to support him. tom got right up to the front of the start line and then they were off. it was so much fun also seeing him pass people on the course.
after the race his bike was caked in mud and we took it to a self serve car wash so that he could power wash all the dirt off.
uh, just do darn proud of him. he has totally inspired me to go outside my comfort zone. but would i do this type of racing?? hmmm maaaybe, it is totally brutal but looks fun...maybe some day.
i made a little video of him riding. sorry for my shrill voice and yes the last clip is of me yelling :D
what have you done before that got you out of your comfort zone?

That looks so hard! You should totally do it sometime :) Running that half marathon was way way way out of my comfort zone. I'm good with 3 miles, but more than that is tough. It's so rewarding to push yourself though!
