cuckoo time...a tattoo!

 hi! i am super super excited to show you the latest tattoo design i did for the lovely kate over at wake up, kate. she was a pleasure to work with and i just loved her idea!
whenever i first have an idea, i do tiny little sketches of the idea in different styles and then do little detail drawings of the aspects i know i love. i sent kate a bunch of little sketches along with seperate drawings for the hummingbird.
once she decided on a shape and bird, i did a full scale drawing for her and then from there we tweaked it so that it was perfect for her.
she is getting the tattoo in a month and i can't wait to see it. it is always really exciting to see the final inked drawing and what the tattoo artist brings to my design. remember cayce's bird design? well, she just got it inked and it looks incredible! her tattooist did a great job and i love what she did with the color.

in other news....i met with a gallery director for a up coming show in may and they picked my floral peices! i am currently working on some more designs to add to the show. this is my first show ever and i am more then thrilled. right now, my heart is so full and happy. it feels like a dream come true!

      thanks kristen! i am just so excited about the show and i really don't even care if anyone buys my pieces, i am just so grateful for the opportunity but i mean if someone wants to buy them then that will be the icing on the cake! i will for sure take pictures!

    Fantastic! Your tattoo designs are pretty bomb-diggidy. If my job becomes permanent and I can afford a tattoo, I know who I'm gonna talk to about a design!

    Okay first, the tattoo design is amazing! I love clocks and this is so beautiful. Second, I'm so excited that you are going to be in a gallery!!! That's amazing, you're going to have give us the details about how it goes. I'd love to get into a gallery someday. That would be a dream come true!

    Cant wait to see this once its inked. I love the way cayce's tat came out. It fits her perfectly. Congrats on getting your florals picked. Those folks have some great taste.

    oh my gosh, at first i was so excited by the new tattoo design because it's beautiful, but then i read that you're going to have your own show, and i about fell out of my chair! THAT IS AMAZING!!!!! i'm so proud of you, and i can't wait to hear more about it!

      thank you so much danielle, it means so much to me! your the best! it isn't a solo show, oh god it if was i would be pooping my pants right now! i am part of the sfetsy team and they are gathering up a bunch of us for a show. the space isn't that big so i am so happy they picked up to be part of it! can't wait to share more about it! thanks again sweetie!

    that is so freaking cool. i didn't know you designed tattoos...awesome! i love love love kate and this is perfect for her...cause it's awesome too! now i'm curious as to where she's getting it, she's only alluded to the tattoo, i didn't know what it was!

    I love this so much! The hummingbird at the top is my favourite part, or maybe the cute little pinecones. It will be fun to see how it turns out as a tattoo!
