what i wore: walking to work!

hi! i hope everyone is getting lots of sunshine! we are getting tons and i am so grateful for the warmth. well, normally i ride my bike everyday but on cinco de mayo i walked! it is much different then riding, makes for a nice time to see all the little things i can't when i wiz by on my bike. it is so nice to change it up a bit. after work, tom and my cousins came and picked me up from work and headed to our friends restaurant which serves some of the best mexican food in sf.
the dress i am wearing i scored while thrifting this weekend. the sewing on it is a little wonky but the colors are perfect. the nice thing about sf is that it tends to be a bit cooler during the summer and since this dress is a wee bit on the short side, tights are necessary.
now, remember last week's outfit post and i wanted a faux leather jacket? well, i found one! i was soooo stocked! the thrifting gods answered my prayers! and on top it, it is a cropped one which i was hoping for. i am not a huge fan of target although, yes i do shop there but i felt a bit better buying it thrifted rather then new. on top of it being exactly what i wanted it also has a hoodie!! which is also detachable!! YES! way to go target!
details:
dress: thrifted
jacket: thrifted but from target
tights: f21
shoes: target
ring: a gift from my boss that came all the way from turkey!

    1. yes of course! they are all in hayward, when you get a chance you should come on over! the first one is thrift town and the other is eco thrift, that one is our favorite. there is another one and i think it is just called thrift...i am not really sure but it is on the same street as eco thrift!

  13. you look so pretty, and i know you love stripes as much as i do! i love dresses witha simple patter like that because they're so fun to layer and wear all year long!

also, man am i jealous you get to walk to work. since i live on a farm basically in the middle of nowhere, it would be between 20-25 miles before i got to the city limits where anything is at!

    1. yes thank goodness for simple dresses, makes my life easier for sure!

oh man if i could walk to work, that would be amazing. i actually walk to the train and then from the train walk to work. i am not sure exactly how far it is but it would take me hours and then i would have to walk on a car only bridge...it would be pretty scary but i do live close to good public transportion making it a lot eaiser. i used to live in the woods in the middle of no where and in a car it would take about 20 minutes to get to civilization so i know how you feel.

  18. I love the contrast of your dress with your living room!

I love the pairing of the dress with your tights and your tattoos stand out so much! I love it!

Did you get to have margaritas for cinco de mayo? Cinco de mayo is one of my absolute favorite moments in Mexican and U.S. history! I always like to think that a margarita is a good way to honor my homeboys for winning that battle at Puebla in 1862.

My boss just gave me the most amazing coral cardi that she found at a thrift store, and I am thinking it would go well with your beige dress... I am determined to find you a coral cardigan.

  19. i had a margarita type shot which was super yummy and a couple of bohemia's. i really should not have tequila, it doesn't mix well with. :(

soo jealous of your coral cardigan! i have been on the look out when i go thrifting but no luck hopefully one day i will find it but hey if you see one i won't turn it down! xoxoxoxxooxxo
