jam-freakin-packed

yup that was my weekend. you think it would have been crazy but it wasn't, it was awesome. our weekend went a little like this....
>>>started the weekend right with a little bit of thrifting. scored an awesome skirt and a sweater, yes i know summer is here but the nights get cold and who can resist a kelly green colored old man sweater? that is right, i didn't think so.
>>>bought myself a new bike helmet, thinking of ways to hide the hideous pattern/colors. if i think of one, then i will for sure share!
>>> went to the east bay bike party! it was our first time in many many many months. it was fun until about half way through the ride when an irate lady came within inches, INCHES of hitting tom and i. she did that about several times too, weaving back and forth out of her own lane and into our lane. we think  someone behind us might have pissed her off or something. it was the craziest thing that has ever happened to us on our bikes before and it wasn't fun at all. she was INSANE! yelling out the door with a tiny kid in the back. i hope that kid turns out all right.
>>> finished up a tattoo design revision; got the approval and will finish the final drawing on my next day off. will share soon!!

>>> no pictures of this but we headed up north to hang out with one of our friends at a dallas (the AMAZING 70's show) themed party. i wanted to dress up but it was around 90 degree's and i vow never to wear polyester in weather hotter then 70.
>>> after the bbq we headed up  further north and went cabining (that is a word, right?). we really didn't go camping, i just wasn't sure what to call it. it was at a camp ground but we stayed in a ghetto trailer. never again but at least we all had a great time! the weather was perfect but the water could have been a bit warmer. it was pretty cold but with the heat it felt refreshingly good.

>>> not pictured: on the way home, we stopped by tom's parents house as a surprise, had some burgers and watched the first episode of true blood! it was nice to sneak in some family time.

after all this, it was pretty pretty hard to go back to work. especially since i had a work dream the night before coming back to work. those are never good.

  2. What an awesome weekend. That is messed up that lady almost hit you. Whenever I see people driving super crazy and scary where they might hurt people, like they're drunk, I get their plate number and call the police non-emergency number and report a drunk driver. Glad she didn't hit you guys.

    1. oh god, i hope she wasn't drunk but it would explain why she was insane! that poor kid in the back. i should have done something but both tom and i were trying to get out of there, it was not a good scene.

  6. this definitely seems like a fun weekend, and i am so in love with that skirt you thrifted! also, spring and summer are my favorite times to lok for sweaters at thrift stores because it seems like everyone has cleaned them out of their closets, and no one else is looking to buy them, so you can find some good ones!

    1. thanks danielle! that is so true about sweaters and finding them during the summer and spring. i look for boots during this time too, you just never know what will be waiting for you at the thrift store :)

  7. I cant resist old man anything, so I would have scooped up the sweater in a heartbeat. What if you get a hat for your helmet, like a crocheted beanie or cowboy hat? You didnt dress up for the Dallas party?! I am so disappointed in you. You would have looked bombastic into floral pantsuit. Cabining is definitely a word. Adding ing at the end of any word makes it into a new totally legit word.

    1. i know right? old man stuff is the best,! i have seen a couple of guys who are bike messengers who have large beanies on their helmets and it just makes it look larger. i think i want to paint it and then maybe put some stickers on it. not sure yet. i know our friend was SUPER disappointed that i didn't dress up either, he was sure i would have too and i would have but it was so darn hot! funny thing because that day we went thrifting i found the most awesome jumpsuit that was floral, it was amazing!!! and it fit.

  11. Sounds like a perfect weekend! I love your tattoo designs- I wish I wasn't such a scaredy cat :) That sweater was a good score. I keep having to remind myself to look through the sweaters and jackets right now since no one else probably is. It's just so hard when it's over a 100 degrees out... Glad you survived the crazy nut job lady!

I can't believe that woman driver! I can't stand it when divers don't know how to share the road. I am so glad nothing happened to you or Tom. That woman needs her head checked stat!
