happy wednesday everyone!! thank goodness it is wednesday which means two more days till the weekend and my little niece's birthday bash! she is turning 2 on friday!!! she is growing up so fast and she gets cuter every time i see her! and i especially can't wait to give her the cape we bought her!!! she is going to look FANTASTIC in it!! will share pictures of her party next week!
well anywho...today's bike chick outfit is a favorite. this was the film from when i lost the minolta hi-matic on bart....
i have become a bit obsessed with the mustard yellow color lately and the sweater i am wearing is one of my favorites! i love the collar on it and that it is super warm and soft! it is over a dress that i bought in la when me, my cousin and sister in law went shopping for bridesmaids dresses.
i am on my way to work in this picture and it was oh so cold that morning so it was important to have tights on that day as well as my wool coat and gloves, which by the way i got new fingerless gloves with mitten pull overs from target thanks to jesse! thanks sweetie, i am loving them!!
i am almost ready for riding in the rain...just need some rain boots which i have been waiting for the right pair but i think i am just going to get black as they go with everything. any suggestions?

bike chick tip!
i wasn't going to do this post as i still have a million things do to but decided against it because it has been so so so cold in the mornings that i thought it would be appropriate to show you my staples for when it is cold out side....
bike chick tip # 12- riding in the cold!
a must is my favorite jacket my AMAZING sister in law bought me years ago...i love it to death, it is the perfect color blue and i LOVE LOVE the cut. also the great thing about it is the collar! it works great with scarfs and creates a little warm bubble around my head.
second is any scarf and my favorite right now is a mustard yellow chunky infinity scarf. it covers my ears and can cover my nose if i need it to. i don't know if any of you experience this while riding but when it is super cold out and windy the inside of my ears really hurt from the cold. if i don't have a scarf then the next best thing is my beany that has ear covers...i love wearing these types of beanies, i feel so silly but in the best way possible.
the next most important thing is gloves! this is probably the 2nd most important...i have left the house many a times without them and hated myself the entire ride to bart...on some mornings it is actually really really painful. i have yet to find the perfect pair as my jacket has wide sleeves and wind creeps up into them...no bueno...i have these fingerless gloves but these were a big mistake..they are great because when i am digging in my bag to get stuff out i can feel around better but the poor tips of your fingers hurt when it is cold! ouch! so this morning i put another pair of gloves on to cover them....pretty smart if you ask me and it saved my fingers but it is just a lot to put on and have in my bag!
other then that i make sure i am either wearing tights or a pair of jeans and socks and some sturdy shoes or boots! enjoy the cold weather ladies and happy riding!!!
also guess what came in the mail today?!?!?!?!?! OUR MINOLTA THAT I LOST ON BART...YIPPEEE....cant wait to get the film developed in it :)
