happy monday peaches! hope you all had a wonderful weekend. tom and i shared a great day together <3
the weather friday was crazy, it felt like summer, i wore shorts....crazy. we headed to the lake near our house and brought along some sandwiches and our baseball gloves.
we sat and listened to the radio for a while and soaked up some vitamin d. this radio is super awesome and i love the little retro look of it. it has a solar panel on the top so it doesn't need batteries and you just turn the crank once and it powers the little radio, cool right? i bought it for tom this last christmas and we can't wait to use it more. perfect for camping and of course picnics like this one :)
we brought along our baseball gloves and threw the ball around a bit. it is one of our favorite things to do while being lazy at the park. it was such a perfect day for it, no body was around so we had the entire place to ourselves.
tom brought his skate board and did a little skating about, im not a fan of skate boarding but it was fun to see him skate again.
on the way home, tom took me on a secret way home and he finally showed me the cactus garden he had been meaning to show me so long ago. it was pretty awesome and i am a bit jealous of their awesome set up. one day i vow to have a cactus garden like this and have dinosaurs scattered throughout the garden.
i had never been to this part of town so i made tom pull over so we could take a look at the view. it was really beautiful.
since tom works at trader joes, they are offering all their workers FREE gym membership until septemeber, so tom and i went to 24 hour fitness signed up and did laps in the pool and then used the steam room, it was really awesome and we are both super stoked to be able to swim! it was the perfect end to a really really great day.

roll with the punches
hope everyone had a great weekend! we had some minor changes to our plans as the mister had to unexpectedly do an install for some freelance work he did, so it changed out plans friday. we had originally planed on going on a breakfast picnic and sadly we had to postpone it.
he finished the job and so to celebrate we packed a blanket, oj and some champagne and rode our bikes to a new park near our house. we had already eaten but it was so nice to sit in the sun and watch all the kiddos run around being crazy. the park was really nice, the weather was perfect and we had a really nice time just relaxing. the park is equipped with a train, a small petting zoo that seemed to consist of mainly goats and a merry-go-round.
i love discovering new things in our silly little town and glad we found this one. we will try it out again soon, i know!
after the park the mister had promised that we would do some summer cleaning and we did. it felt good to get rid of a bunch of crap that we haven't used and now the cupboards are clean and we have extra space. we still have to do our bed room and closet and bathroom but it won't take long. we will tackle that another day and i can assure you that the mister is stoked about that... psyche! only i, the queen of clean, get a bit giddy about throwing things away and having a clean house. i keep telling the mister, i am not a fan of cleaning but it is the end result that i love!
we then drove over to my cousins house and got out hands dirty and made ice cream! we were suppose to make frozen yogurt but nobody in our town sells sheep's milk so we had to made ice cream from goats milk instead. it tastes SUPER yummy but it is a bit icy. this is the recipe we used. i am not sure if we are going to use it again but it could have been that we left it in the freezer for too long. if anyone has a yummy goat or sheep milk frozen yogurt recipe to share i would love to see it!
oh and i am super excited to share that i got a bonus at work sooooooo, my tattoo will be coming sooner then christmas!!! i am calling them first thing on wednesday when they open to make an appointment...eek!!!!!! i am so giddy! i know my tattooer is a couple months out so i will have to wait in anticipation to get it but still i am super super stoked!

tattoo time!
just a quik post....so excited cause i just scheduled a tattoo appointment for jan. 15th with my favorite lady sam. love her to pieces!!!! here is the post showing my most recent tattoo's. i am getting a daisy on either side of my shoulder...on the front at the joint...if that makes any sense. the mister drew my little design on me last night and it looked perfect!!! the mister's birth flower is a chrysanthemum which is a type of daisy and i have been wanting to get something that represented him so i thought it made sense with the rest of my designs...january can't come soon enough!!!!
i am not going to get the wrist tattoo's like i had planned...i have really thought about it and it seems like that area fades quicker then most areas and i wasn't crazy about my day of the dead birds i designed...i am thinking a little higher up like almost near my elbow joint...but i haven't decided what yet...
well a friend sent me this link that i thought was supr funny...thought i would share since it is appropriate ..click here...hehehe
well i hope you all have an amazing weekend! the mister and i have a bike ride and picnic date tomorrow and then sunday is craft day for me!!
enjoy my lovelies!!!
