this birds gonna fly!

thanks everyone for the lovely comments regarding my newest little nugget! his name is niko and he is a healthy 8lb 1oz baby boy! he is SUPER cute and i am already in love with this little guy!

so i am packing tonight for my trip to the east coast. my work is flying me to conninecut for a sales meeting on wedensday and tomorrow i will spend my entire day traveling...uuggh..but i get to fly jet blue which always excites me! last time me and mister flew jet blue, danny glover was on our flight home...we giggled like little school girls when we saw him because we have a little song about him that we like to sing...super stupid but it always makes us laugh!

so after my sales meeting on wednesday i get to jump aboard amtrak to meet my best friend whom i have known since kindergarten! she moved to boston so this will be my first time seeing boston and her new pad! i can't tell you how excited i am too see her!! we will be doing come swimming along with some short road trips to new hampshire, rhode island and possibly vermont....5 states in 6 days...wow! i have never been to these states so i am even more thrilled to go on a new adventure! i will be bringing my minolta point & shot camera with me to snap some great pictures along the way! i have a couple of posts lined up during my absence. hope you all have a great week and i will be back on monday to share my journey!!

so fresh...

saturday was excellent! rode our bikes out to the outer sunset for my 12 noon tattoo appt. with sam @ tattoo tuesday. i am always so happy to walk through those doors and give sam a huge hug. she is the sweetest person and i love talking up a storm with her while she works away at my skin :D she is excellent to work with and she always has great ideas. i went in to the shop with the intent to just add more of the flowers i already had on my shoulder up my neck but came out with much more and i couldn't be MORE happy!

 i brought in a pattern that i have been working on and really liked a pair of flowers i have been staring at for the past month. typically before i get a tattoo the mister draws it on me so that i know before hand that i am ready to get it on me permanently but this time around it wasn't successful and i was stumped on how to change it... i showed her the flowers and she got down to work. went to the printer and made larger versions of the flowers and made temporary tattoos to stick on my body...she did her thing and one glance in the mirror i fell in love! she touched up the tattoo on my arm and 2 1/2 hours later i was finished...we said our good byes and told her i would be back very soon...christmas present maybe?? we had a great ride through the park and went to the fly bar to eat a shroom pizza and a couple beers...snooped around the local thrift store and then rode home...a great saturday in my eyes...hope you had a fabulous saturday and a rest of your sunday!
