this week has been soo sunny and this makes me
very happy. this is a pretty mellow outfit that i wore to work sunday. it was a nice easy outfit and plus who doesn't love a bit of yellow especially when its sunny outside.
i haven't worn these jeans in ages. they had been sitting in my dresser forever because they were made for a 7ft amazon, thats right, a 7 freakin foot amazing :) i could only wear them with either high heels or cuff them, which regardless of how often i fixed them, would drag on the floor and eventually they started to rip. so instead of throwing them to the curb, i decided to hem them instead.
it worked because i am now wearing them, go me. it is nice to breath life into something that would otherwise be tossed in the donation pile. next, i think i want to try my hand at tailoring another pair i have that is
actually in the donation pile! we shall see what happens :)
so i have to give you a bit of sad news....the earrings in the picture are no more...crushed to millions of pieces by some horrible ladies dumpy car! tom and i went swimming after we took these pictures and i had put my earrings in a pocket and when i went over a speed bump, it popped out, i saw it fall but couldn't turn around and stop. what i heard has haunted me since....my ears heard the beautiful white plastic shatter....i couldn't look so tom went back and confirmed my worst fear...my co-worker gave them to me and it was the first time wearing them..... my love affair with these beauties was short lived...sigh
