what i wore: after the storm

awww mid week. feels so nice knowing that today is my friday.

i wore this to work last saturday. it didn't rain that day but it was SUPER windy. i rode my bike all the way to the train in my highest gear which is reserved for hill climbing. at one point i felt like i could have walked faster.

i love this sweater so much and finally figured out how to wear it properly. since it doesn't have buttons or anything to secure it, it sometimes feels cape like. belting it really made a difference.

i got my leather backpack at the thrift store this weekend and i am not sure about it yet. i am having my yellow pannier fixed by celeste's mom. i really like the color and how small it is but since i am totting around my HUGE hardcover game of thrones book it doesn't leave much room for much else.

sporting my black triple triangle necklace i made for myself. i tried to add a pop of color as i have a hard time leaving the house in all neutrals so i threw on a bright orange lipstick. my ears have been a bit sensitive since i slept with earrings on so they are irritated at the moment. otherwise i would have worn a pair of bright orange studs i bought the other day.

well happy friday to you all, a perfect day to do a little happy little things!
i have been on the search for a very very long time to find the perfect orange lipstick. lipstick is a favorite thing of mine. when your having a bad day and feeling blue, put a little lipstick on and instantly you feel so much better! it makes me feel sassy, and let me tell you, i like sass... a lot!

 the other day i was at walgreens doing a little shopping and i stumbled across these beauties! i may have fallen in love. both are perfect shades of orange and both are from revelon.

revelon, thank you for your genius minds and producing two very very awesome orange lipsticks for me covet. my lips and me, thank you.
